my portfolio
On this page you will be able to find a number of examples of my work in most of the areas I dabble in. While I continue to manage some of the sites I list, a few are no longer under my supervision -- so in those instances I recommend referring to the images I provide instead of viewing the page itself.

Writing
For Harry Mitchell, the top is the Floor
An in-depth piece on Rep. Harry Mitchell, D-Ariz. I spent two days in Washington, D.C., with the Congressman and recorded his activities. The article was the final piece of a three-part series on the ups and downs of politics, featuring various former, current and aspiring Arizona politicians. This piece won The State Press' News Article of the Semester award, as judged by the editorial board.
From student to stripper to prostitute
This cover piece for the State Press Magazine chronicled the story of an ASU student who began a career of exotic dancing and wound up selling her body as an escort.
House to Dems; Senate close
This article recapped the 2006 mid-term Arizona elections in which the Democrats swept the majority of the seats. The piece had to be completed with little room to breathe before the paper went to print due to the late hour results were calculated.
More voters drop party labels
An article on the movement of younger voters to register as independents, as opposed to registering with either the Republican or Democratic parties. This piece won The State Press' News Article of the Semester award, as judged by the editorial board.
Wade sentenced to 20 years
This piece is the finale of a summer series following the trial of former ASU football player Loren Wade, who was found guilty of murdering another former ASU football player.
